Processing a Sale

Navigate to Sales & Inventory → Sales.

Step-by-Step

  1. Open Till Session: Click "Open Till" and enter your opening cash balance
  2. Add Items:
    • Scan barcodes, or
    • Search by name, or
    • Click products from the catalog
  3. Adjust Quantities: Use +/- buttons or enter directly
  4. Apply Discounts: Per-item or order-level discounts
  5. Select Customer: Link the sale to a customer (required for credit sales)
  6. Accept Payment:
    • Cash: Enter amount received, system calculates change
    • M-Pesa: Enter phone number, send STK Push
    • Card: Process through your card terminal
    • Credit: Record as credit sale (customer required)
    • Split: Combine multiple payment methods
