Work Orders & Production

Work orders track the physical production process on the factory floor, from initial drafting through execution to finished stock completion.

Creating a Work Order

  1. Navigate to Manufacturing → Work Orders.
  2. Click New Work Order.
  3. Select the target product and the quantity to produce.
  4. Select the matching BOM.
  5. NuSaaS will calculate the expected raw material requirements.
  6. Click Save as Draft.

Production Status Lifecycle

  • Draft: Work order details are set, but production has not started. Raw materials are not yet reserved.
  • Pending: Approved for production. NuSaaS checks raw material availability.
  • In Progress: Factory workers are actively producing items. Raw materials are temporarily locked.
  • Completed: Finished goods are added to stock, and raw material stock levels are automatically reduced based on BOM quantities.
  • Cancelled: Production stopped. Reserved materials are released.
